General FAQs:

Can we bring our own food?

Funtopia Indoor Amusement Park follows the Adventure Island ‘it’s our food only’ policy. The only exception to this is food for children under 2 years of age e.g. baby food. Guests are more than welcome to consume packed lunches in the outside areas of Adventure Island, when the park is open, sat at any of our picnic benches.

If you’re looking for a quick bite or a coffee and cake, then Coffeeplus is the place to go for you. Hot food options include fries, mini chicken fillets, pizzas, hot dogs and much more. With a wide selection of cakes, hot drinks and sweet and savoury snacks, there’s plenty to see you by! We also have the Feelgoods Milkshake Bar on the ground floor.

Unfortunately we do not offer Funtopia annual passes, however it is included in the Adventure Island annual pass!

We have toilet facilities on the ground floor of the arcade (just through the tunnel by the arcade desk) and toilets upstairs next to the soft play. Both toilet facilities are disability friendly and include baby changing.

At Adventure Island and Funtopia Indoor Amusement Park, we believe that everyone should be able to experience the highest level of happiness with us and so we have tried to accommodate to all of our visitors as much as possible.

Playstack and Playpod faqs:

Is there an age restriction for the soft play?

The maximum age for Playstack is 10 years old and the maximum age for Playpod is 5 years old. Please note that children under 100cm must be accompanying adult aged 16 or over.

There’s no minimum height limit. Those under 100cm must be accompanied by a responsible person over 16 years of age, who goes free. We recommend those under 120cm are accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 years of age or older. Maximum age limit of 10 years of age.

Any guests using the Playstack or Playpod should follow the rules of play at all times:

  1. Arms and legs should be covered
  2. No food, drink or chewing gum
  3. No glasswear
  4. No sharp objects or jewellery
  5. No facepaint
  6. No shoes inside the soft play, however socks MUST be worn at all times – we sell them at the Inside Admissions desk (opposite the carousel!) if you’ve forgotten them
  7. No liability will be accepted for any losses, damage or theft
  8. Children who wear glasses or contact lenses should take particular care
  9. Children who are unwell should not use the soft play
  10. Accompanying adults cannot use the giraffe and tiger slides

It is not recommended for those with physical limitations or severe limb amputations. Guests will need full use of the entire body due to steep climbs, obstacles and slides.  The Playstack and Playpod are not wheelchair accessible due to the many obstacles. Disabled guests must be able to walk unaided to experience the attraction. Guests who are afraid of heights should refrain from entering. Those with sight impairments may enter the  attraction with or without a carer, should they require one.

Unfortunately individual ride tickets are not valid for Playstack or Playpod and guests must have an Adventure Island wristband or a Playstack/Playpod wristband to enter.

Playstack and Playpod open at 11am each day, with the rides and arcade opening at 12pm. Please note that Playstack and Playpod can shut an hour before Funtopia closes.

Yes we do! We sell socks in a wide range of sizes at our admissions desk at the top of the stairs (opposite Carousel)

Rides FAQs:

Can adults ride for free with children?

Absolutely! If you’re over 14 years of age (and mature enough to look after another person), you can accompany a child under 120cm in height on any of our rides for free. It’s part of our Go On Together promise.

Guests over 120cm in height will not be permitted to bring on an accompanying person free of charge. (Nice try!)

We have 4 family friendly rides: Galleon, Pirate’s Plunge, Dune Buggies and Carousel. We are also home to our 6 storey soft play area Playstack AND Playpod – our smaller soft play for guests aged 5 and under!

Galleon and Pirate’s Plunge have a minimum height of 100cm to ride and guests under 120cm must be accompanied by a responsible accompanying adult, aged 14 or over, who rides for free.

Carousel and Dune Buggies have no minimum height to ride however guests must be self-supporting. Guests under 100cm must be accompanied by a responsible accompanying adult aged 14 or over who rides for free. We recommend that guests under 120cm are accompanied.
